Parent Meeting

Calling all parents of 6 & 7 graders!

We’ll be having an informational parent meeting on Wednesday, April 18.  Meet in the Chapel at First Free from 6:45-8:15 pm.  This will be a great opportunity for you to connect with other parents, learn more and ask questions about Junior High Camp, the Junior High Ministry, our summer calendar, and more!  Interact with Steve Otey as your son or daughter moves into 7th or 8th grade next school year.

Do you have it all figured out as a parent?  If not, then this event is for you!  (If you do have
it all figured out, please call me right away….we need to talk.)

Join us on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 9-11 am, for a time of practical learning and connection
with other parents.  While there are many seminars to choose from, here are a few that will
be of interest to parents of teens.

We’ll talk about how to understand all the computers, cell phones, websites,
iPod devices, etc that your kids are using, how to set boundaries, and how to
protect your son or daughter’s heart in our techie world.
Talking with your kids about Sexual Purity 
(Tom Hughes)
Practical discussion about how & when to talk with your kids about a Godly
view of sexuality.

Discipline & Obedience at Home
(Panel discussion, hosted by Barry & Lauren Garber)
Practical ideas about how to disciple through discipline, and creative ideas that
you can use right away.
Preparing for College
(Don Erehart & Dan Hartke)
Created for parents of Juniors & Seniors, this seminar will help parents guide
their kids through this important transition.

Parent Meetings

Parents: Join us for these important meeting as we begin the school year.

7th & 8th Grade Parents: Wednesday, August 31st at Junior High (6:30-8:30.) Bring your students. There is also a student event on this night.

6th Grade Parents: Sunday, September 18 in the Bigg House after 2nd service. A pizza lunch will be provided.

Junior High Summer Camp!

June 5-10, 2011

Lake Geneva, WI

Registration for Junior High Camp opens on Wednesday, April 13.  This trip for incoming 7th & 8th graders is one that God consistently uses in the lives of students.  Our speaker, Giles Davis, is a youth missionary in Spain.  God has used Giles in the lives of hundreds of students from our church over the last decade.

The dates for Camp are June 5-10, 2011.  Students are welcome to bring friends.

Financial Aid is available, please contact the youth office for more information.

Sign up at www.efree.org beginning April 13.

Registration closes on May 27.
